We are pleased your child’s class is participating in the City of Pasadena Energy Education Program! This energy education program supports what students are currently learning in the classroom, is designed to teach students about energy in your community, and why it’s important to use it wisely and responsibly.

The take-home Energy Efficiency Kit your child received contains products specifically selected to encourage energy savings at home.

Here’s how you can help support and reinforce concepts taught at school:

• Work with your child to use the items in the kit to conduct the assigned experiments.
• Ensure your child records the results in the online student questionnaire.
• Encourage continued engagement with smart energy choices—your child may choose to participate in various activities for a chance to win prizes.

When students complete the experiments and the student questionnaire, their teacher can earn a mini-grant for much-needed classroom supplies.
